Overall the cultural differences at IIHS have not been very different from other work experiences. Some of the major differences from this work environment compared to other work environments is how laid back things are. People usually come into work after 10 and are out no later than 6 pm. Meetings are very informal and when a time for a meeting is made, it usually does not actually occur until about half an hour later. Many within the office are on vacation or travel during the summer months so schedules tend to be very different. The team we have been working with on the project has been very helpful with the project and helping us get to our final deliverable. Coming into the project they had a very broad scope for what they want to see out of the final platform. We easily able to discuss with them and work with them to determine the scope for the first launch of the portal.
